Hyderabad – Nov 2010 – A short tour of the Pearl City

The last time I came to Hyderabad, the pearl city… was around March 2010. Yea,the weather was certainly a lot hotter back then as compared to now, but the city was the same. It’s buzz, the awesome landscapes and the most beautiful people and food of the city is what keeps me getting back to the blocks of this wonderful Hyderabad. Besides enjoying every bit of the Biryani and of course making sure that I had the most amazing raita along with it, I also decided to take a short tour of the city in the five hours that I had on a Sunday morning, before returning back to Mumbai.

This time around, had been to Hyderabad for work. Thought of taking some great shots in the Lumbini Park, AP State Museum and some on the streets of Hyderabad. Given the time that I had, I made sure that I captured every moment in due course of time and ensured that not a lot of shots were repeated from when I had been here earlier.

Yea, did miss out on Charminar, Salar Jung, Golconda… but don’t regret it as I got some great shots. The most enchanting place till now in Hyderabad for me has been of course the Golconda Fort. But this time around I was short of time, so I decided to skip that part of the city and stick to what was near the station. Nonetheless, last time around when I had been to the Husainsagar lake and the Lumbini Park, it was in the evening. Which of course is the right time for you to go there, especially if you want to enjoy the beauty, the fireworks, the laser show blah blah and blah.

But this time around, since I was there during the day, I decided to get some good Macros, monochromes and of course some great close up shots of the Lord Buddha Himself. As far as the AP state museum was concerned, I wanted a canvas of the Canons in the park. Imagine shooting a Canon with my Canon (1000 D) 😛

Bangalore – Nov 2010 – Garden City Tour

Bangalore… the garden city as most of them say… Yes this is the city which I will always cherish and love to be part of.. Afterall it’s my hometown… Lot’s of memories from childhood and certainly a lot of my friends, relatives and many more people I know live here. But besides all that, I love the city for it’s eternally beautiful weather. The perennial pleasant weather is something that enchants me always. So this time around, I came down in November… Diwali to celelbrate… but just as least expected… rain came down on me… certainly a sign I did not expected… GnR – November Rain was certainly not a possibility in India… But yea, it happened. Not bad  I must say, loved the beautiful weather though. Helped me travel easy and comfortably too…

Since, it was going to be a short tour I had to make sure that I go to the important places and really get nice shots. One of my favorites was always the ‘Lalbagh’ what beauty in the botanical garden…Sigh… Miss that place now. Great shots that I got and majorly I’m a big fan of the amazing ‘Glass House’… Then a few shots from the Vidhan Sabha, the Bangalore palace and last but not least, a few from the Court House, our very own Lal Quila of Bengalooru..

It was certainly a trip to remember, I should say. Hope you have enjoyed reading the blog and the pics. I loved the two dogs fighting for food, I got in at the right moment 🙂 Tell me which one is your favorite. What say folks?
